Andrew Mielcarek is an Associate at Apex Analytics, where he brings an extensive background in econometrics, statistics, and a range of qualitative research approaches to support utilities in their evaluation and research efforts. Over the past 6 years, his work has included leading evaluation efforts for a variety of behavioral, income eligible, new construction, and commercial and industrial utility programs, conducting traditional process and impact evaluations, as well as broader market assessments, and more targeted ME&O research.

 

Before joining Apex Analytics in 2022, Andrew was a Senior Consultant at ILLUME Advising where he led numerous program and portfolio evaluations and contributed to a variety of other quantitative and qualitative studies, across all customer segment types and program structures. He is proficient in survey design and methodology, survey analysis, econometric modeling, statistical analysis, and a variety of qualitative research approaches. He builds automated tools and performs analysis in R, while also proficient in SPSS and Excel.

 

​Andrew holds a bachelor’s degree in Conservation Science from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a Master’s degree in Economics with a concentration in Resource and Energy Demand Analysis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
