Eric Bell is a Vice President at Apex Analytics and an economist specializing in the measurement and evaluation of utility demand-side management and load flexibility programs, including dynamic pricing, demand response, electric vehicles, behavioral programs, energy storage, and virtual power plants. With more than 17 years of experience on both the utility and consulting side, Eric brings deep technical expertise alongside the practical focus needed to deliver work that is rigorous, accurate, and relevant to key decision makers.

His work centers on measuring grid-level customer response to dynamic prices, program signals, and incentives. In doing so, he applies econometric and machine learning methods to AMI interval data, EV charging and vehicle telemetry, battery storage data, and customer billing records. Eric works closely with utility clients, program implementers, and regulatory stakeholders through all phases of pilot design, evaluation, and performance optimization. Communicating those findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences is a core part of his work.
